The Great Big World

By this time tomorrow we're all going to be hunkering down to go to sleep in the hotel in Nashville. Honestly it's almost surreal. I can't believe that I'd ever get this far, and yet here I am getting ready to leave on the biggest adventure of my life.

Today I spent all day taking pictures and cataloging my luggage and the things I am packing. I'm pretty sure I got it all down and ready to go. Both my bags are really easy to close, and I figure they're both underweight. I'm carrying most of my tech and all my school supplies with me on board, and even that bag is light. Just need to toss my computer in there when it's fully charged and jump into bed.
Hours of work come to fruition. :)
Tomorrow morning, my family will be picking up Ms. Hansen and we'll be driving down to meet up with Don and the rest of the cohort for final goodbyes and preparations before we jump on the shuttle to the airport. That's a bit of a big emotional step for me, so I've been trying to get ready for it. The goodbyes are always the hardest part of anything.

Just before I began writing this we went out to dinner as a family (we went to Zachary's- it's almost comforting that my last dinner in California was that specific restaurant.) and we had a few good laughs.

I can't wait to see all that Nashville has to offer, as well as Philadelphia! Here's to good travels!
